BOB and YVONNE GERHART
Bob and Yvonne Gerhart are founders of Watchman for the Nations, Inc., an international prayer ministry. The Gerharts are from Florence, Alabama and travel extensively, ministering to churches, leadership conferences and seminars, teaching the importance of
prayer as the key role ofthe intercessor in the Body of Christ.
Yvonne holds a B.S. degree in Music Education and was a public school teacher. Having studied classical piano and voice, Yvonne's music was her whole life. After an
automobile accident at age 24, she was stricken with Menieres Disease and was eventually declared legally deaf. As the result ofthe deafness, Yvonne suffered many years of depression., anger and insecurity.
After losing her career and the ability to play and sing as before, Yvonne was called into a life of intercessory prayer and ministry to the Body of Christ. She is called on by many ministries and missionaries to intercede on their behalf. She says, "to talk to the Father and hear His voice in return is more important than bearing the voice ofman or other distractions.
Yvonne ministers a beautiful testimony of failh and hope to the churcb regarding persevering in one's faith, why affliction and how to walk through difficult times. Her openness and honesty along wilh her ability 10 laugh at herself and at adversity has caused Yvonne to be able 10 minister effectively to one and all.
Throughout Yvonne's ministry she has been used in the operation of the Prophetic. She will not speak that this gift will be in operation, nor allow this ministry 10 be promoted However, in most of the services, although she does not hear, she is very sensitive to !he people's needs and will normally begin to callout people as the Holy Spirit leads.
